You will know about the CoL’s plans to make extensive changes to all the ponds on Hampstead Heath to prevent a future possibility of flooding. The CoL’s design team, Atkins, will be taking the results of their review to the CoL’s Consultative Committee in early April. As part of this process, KLPA will be asked to submit our views on options for the Ladies Pond by mid February.
We will be holding an open meeting with all KLPA members on Tuesday 29 January between 7pm and 9pm at Highgate Road Chapel, Chetwynd Road, Dartmouth Park, London NW 5 1BU to discuss the current state of proposals around the dams project and make a decision on what we want or do not want to see at the Ladies Pond. There are as yet no firm options being considered so we can use this meeting to plan and agree our position.
We would also like to use this special meeting to have a short discussion on options for the table tennis area.
Please make a note of this time in your diaries now. We hope as many of you can make it to this meeting as it’s important this is a full consultation in order to make recommendations that are mandated by you, the members of KLPA.
